Cherish Yourself was born out of grief, love, and a very bossy nana. Mine, to be exact. She passed away two years ago, but if she were here now she’d still be telling me (firmly, usually while holding a cup of tea and pointing her finger) to “cherish yourself – inside and out.” To her, that meant moisturising properly, wearing a good perfume and never saving joy for “later”. Life, she believed, was too fragile for that nonsense.
I created this space in her honour — and because heartbreak has a way of stripping you down to the emotional equivalent of unwashed hair and existential dread. I’ve been there. Many times. So had my nana. Between us, we knew loss, disappointment, love gone wrong, and the slow, stubborn act of putting yourself back together again.

This website is where I write about all of it: the mess, the healing, the opinions I probably shouldn’t have but absolutely do, and the small rituals that help — from skincare that feels like a hug to self-care that’s more than just a bath and a hashtag.
Cherish Yourself isn’t about perfection or pretending everything’s fine. It’s about choosing yourself anyway. About pampering not as vanity, but as survival. About finding softness in hard seasons and humour in the heartbreak. If you’re grieving, healing, heartbroken, or just a bit tired of being strong all the time — you’re welcome here. My nana would insist on it. And she’d probably tell you to put some lipstick on while you’re at it.
